Xianjun Fang is a doctoral student within BECCY and her work includes geomorphic analysis and paleo-precipitation reconstructions. And since the Yunnan area is also the most striking biodiversity hotspot outside of the tropical and subtropical climatic zones, she explores also the geomorphic and ecological controls and barriers on the biodiversity hotspot in the Three Rivers Region of the Hengduan Mountains.
